California has the largest Gross State Product of any other state in the entire United States. In 2010 it was estimated to be right under 2 trillion dollars. Even with all of this money, California has a pretty high unemployment rate of around 12%. In 2007 it was under 6%. The local economy depends a lot of trade, tourism and agriculture.
